In a world where we are exposed to a vast range of musical styles, both past and present, this sonata explores the diversity of its sources of inspiration, and the resulting fusion, which can at times feel disorienting. The second movement evokes an atmosphere inspired by the Far East, while the third bursts with youthful energy and forward-driving action, reflecting the pace and intensity of modern life.
Eight Frames Op25.
is a cycle of eight piano pieces by composer Bishara Khell, performed by Juisteen Kort, whose sensitive artistry inspired the project. Born from their close collaboration, the music explores fleeting thoughts – like images seen through a moving window – translating them into sound and story. Each piece captures a distinct moment, from myth and illusion to humor and introspection. In their search for a pure, human sound, Eight Frames discovers beauty within imperfection, where every note bears the living imprint of its maker.
